Ten. That is how many are available. Ten membership slots to win $400* in cold, hard, spendable cash. Who wants it? You? You there thinking about a new toy? How about you, the one with the car registration coming due? Okay, well, we want to give it away. Here is how…
We have added a new box to the sign-up form: Referred By
The next ten people who sign-up will be eligible for the drawing as will the person who referred them. Simple. Encourage someone to join, tell them to mention you, and you are both (the referrer and the referred) in the drawing. That means there are only 20 spots at the most in this drawing. Twenty (10 memberships x 2 names for each). That is all. And if you refer more people, your name is in the drawing more often.
Why are we doing this?
We want to make a big deal out of reaching 100 members. But we want all the earlybirds to have a chance to be rewarded for supporting us along the way. So we emptied our pockets, passed a hat and collected $400 to give away (big thanks to Hashtag members, Hash and Hot Johnny, for throwing in cash for the prize). This is our own Amazing Race to 100. So spread the word, because we want to give you (you see us looking specifically at you) $400.
Speaking of the magic number of 100. We are close…very, very close. And when we hit the magic number a few things happen. For one, we add a new feature to the Hashtag. We sent out a survey and we are still analyzing the results. We asked our existing members what they want/need in the space. Right now it is a close race between pay-for-print services and a projector/screen for the space. We asked you and we’ll listen to you. That happens at the 100 mark (btw, we are still researching rugs. It is a tough decision).
The other thing that happens is we are going to increase prices. If you are a current member, your rate will remain the same. We are cool like that. The increase is minor and we think it will allow us to continue to add features to the space for ya. See the breakdown below:
- Day Pass: $10
- Day Pass 3-Pack: $20
- Individual Genius: $39/mo or $399/year (both are still eligible for the $5 discount with a valid partner code)
- Cool Company: $399/mo or $3900/yr
We realize the single Day Pass (based on percentage) had a dramatic increase. In reality we created the 3-Pack as a better alternative. When we analyzed the numbers, we noticed a lot of repeat customers for the Day Passes. We also thought it would be better to let people buy them in bulk (three at a time) so they are always ready to go. There will still be a single Day Pass option for $10 for those who make an impulse, single-use purchase.
The new pricing goes into place immediately following The Amazing Race to 100.
As we’ve shown, we do our best to listen and respond. So please let us know what we can do to continue to make this place rock. It rocks becuuse of you and we want to make it rock for you.
*Prize awarded once the new member hits the three-month mark. If the new member cancels prior to the three-month mark, the prize is forfeited. The referrer is the person the new member identifies during the sign-up process. You cannot put your own name in the “referred by” box.
